CRITICAL THINKING AND MEDIA LITERACY

 Critical thinking refers to those skills that a person acquires to objectively and rationally analyze the information provided by different means to generate judgments and make decisions, therefore, its validity, relevance and reliability must be evaluated before consider it as true and thus make decisions. To acquire this skill you must practice analysis, synthesis, and the ability to evaluate and reflect.   Regarding media literacy, it also refers to the ability to interpret, analyze and evaluate different media in a critical and conscious manner, in a society where these media play a crucial role in the generation of opinions and dissemination of information.

  Direct speech: The heavy rains last night caused a landslide, damming the water of the Aipe River Indirect style: This morning on the Channel 8 news, journalist Juana said that due to the heavy rains the night before, a land sweep was generated in the upper part of the Aipe River, causing it to be dammed, causing a sudden avalanche that affected the residents of the Las Marías neighborhood.
